Updated 10 October 2026. This notice explains the information used when you browse this website, request machinery sourcing or ask us to help sell a machine.
HR Machinery, Demesne House, Settle Road, Newsholme, BB7 4JF. Visitors by appointment only. For questions about your information, contact Ross Quinn at sales@hrmachineryltd.co.uk or 07368 385260.
We collect the contact details and information you choose to submit: your name, email, phone number, company or delivery area where relevant, machinery requirements, seller disclosures and uploaded photos. We use these to respond, assess your request and discuss a possible instruction or transaction. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a contract where this applies, or our legitimate interests in handling business enquiries and maintaining relevant business records. We do not use the privacy acknowledgement as marketing consent.
For seller requests, please provide machine details rather than personal financial documents. Do not upload bank details, identity documents, people’s faces, unrelated documents or information you do not have permission to share. We record the privacy notice version and time acknowledged with your enquiry.
Enquiries are saved in a private lead database. An email alert containing your contact details and a brief machine summary goes to our business mailbox. Uploaded photos and detailed finance or damage disclosures stay in the protected lead record. Access is restricted to the authorised site owner. These details and photos are not automatically published.
We use hosting and database services provided through OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare, Resend for enquiry notification emails, and Microsoft 365 for our business mailbox. These providers process information to supply their services. Information may be processed outside the UK depending on the service. Please contact us for details of the relevant supplier arrangements and transfer safeguards.
Where needed for a sourcing or selling instruction, we will explain the intended sharing with a prospective buyer, seller, supplier or professional adviser before proceeding. We do not sell your contact details, add you to advertising audiences or automatically share finance enquiries with lenders. Any proposed finance introduction requires separate checks and your permission to share relevant information with the named provider.
You can allow or decline optional statistics. They start only after you select “Allow statistics”. We count pages viewed, approximate browser sessions and the referring website’s domain. We do not collect full referring URLs, search terms, precise location or your IP address in the analytics database, and we do not connect browsing statistics with lead records.
A random session reference is stored in your browser’s session storage. The server uses a daily changing hash to count sessions; the short-lived records are removed on subsequent analytics activity after two days. Daily anonymous totals are retained for up to one year and page/source totals for up to 90 days, with expiry checked on subsequent analytics activity. Session counts are estimates from browsers that consent, not a count of identified people or every visitor.
Your allow/decline preference is stored locally for up to six months. Use “Privacy choices” in the footer at any time to change your mind. Declining stops future statistics and removes the session reference from this browser; already anonymous totals cannot be linked back to you. Hosting providers may maintain separate operational and security logs. Sign-in and security functions use necessary technical information to work.
We review inactive enquiries after 12 months and delete details and photos that are no longer needed. Records relating to a completed instruction, payment, dispute or legal obligation may need longer retention; the applicable reason and period will be assessed for that record. Email copies and exported files are included in that review. A daily changing hashed network identifier helps limit repeated form submissions and is not used for marketing.
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw optional analytics consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. We do not make solely automated decisions about your enquiry with legal or similarly significant effects.
Contact us using the details above. We may ask for proportionate information to verify a request. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office. Please tell us about any concern so we can try to resolve it.
News, manufacturer and WhatsApp links open external services with their own privacy notices. News headlines are fetched by our server; no news or advertising tracking feed is embedded into your browser. Submitting an enquiry does not sign you up to marketing.
Corporate finance enquiries are reviewed manually. We do not send those details to a finance provider automatically. Before a proposed introduction, we will identify the intended recipient and purpose and obtain your permission to share relevant information. Please do not submit bank details, identity documents or personal financial documents through this site.
